Donovan Having Possible Second Thoughts On Magic

The Orlando Magic issued a statement on Monday that newly hired head coach Billy Donovan may have second thoughts about leaving the University of Florida. Donovan had an emotional press conference in Gainesville, and apparently has felt conflicted since then. The Magic press release stated that although the Orlando area and the Magic franchise were energized by the hiring, the people in and around the University were taking it quite hard. Because, of that the release went on to say Donovan has now become conflicted, about what he may have left behind. In a related story, Anthony Grant head coach at Virginia Commonwealth, and former Donovan assistant, says he has not been offered the coaching position at the University of Florida. Grant was thought to be the logical succesor for Donovan.
