San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs put on a clinic in Game Two of the NBA Finals for three quarters, but just when it looked as if The Cleveland Cavaliers were going to be blown out of the arena Cleveland went on a 24-6 run in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers showed why they won?the NBA Eastern Conference, as they cut a 29 point lead in the third quarter to an 97–89 deficit with just over 2:30 remaining in the fourth?quarter. San Antonio sixth man Manu Ginobli increased the lead with a four point play, and the Cleveland effort fell short losing 103-92. Again It was the usual suspects for San Antonio as point guard Tony Parker scored 30, Ginobli added 25, and Tim Duncan had 23 points 9 boards, and 8 assists. The Cavaliers forward LeBron James led the way for Cleveland with 25 points, 6 assists and 7 boards overcoming early foul trouble. For Cleveland, the ferrocious run in the final quarter has to give them confidence that this will not be a one sided series. By the way, The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 148-114 in Game One of the 1985 NBA Finals?a contest known as the “Memorial Day Massacre”. The Lakers won that series in six games, proving once again that one game does not make a series.
