Spurs Sweep Cavs Win Fourth Title
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main

The San Antonio Spurs won their fourth NBA title since 1999 Thursday night as they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 83-82. The Spurs swept the Cavaliers, only the second Finals seep in the last 12 years, and the first since L.A. swept New Jersey in 2002. San Antonio guard Tony Parker was the Finals MVP as he averaged 24.5 points for the series. The Spurs trailed for most of the first half but had a 39-34 lead at the half.
The Spurs were a machine throughout the entire series, as their postseason experience paid off dividends. Cleveland was overwhelmed, by being there for their first time. The Cavaliers mostly relied on the outside shot which were not falling. After the game Cleveland forward LeBron James said the superior team won the series.
