Paxson To Bryant Fans: No Jersey Needed

All those Kobe Bryant fans who were saving up to purchase a Bulls jersey after Bryant allegedly made that suggestion to a bunch of fans can start making different plans for their cash. That’s according to Chicago Bulls General Manager John Paxson, who was quoted Monday in published reports, that he has had no contact with the Los Angeles Lakers. Paxson acknowledged that?he had heard the rumors circulating last week, but he has had no contact with the Lakers, about the Los Angeles guard, and really does not see a match that could work out between the two teams. Paxson said that what the Bulls would have to give up in order to acquire the disgruntled superstar would probably be non-realistic for Chicago. Any deal for Bryant would probably include either Kirk Heinrich, or Ben Gordon the two cornerstone pieces that led Chicago back to the playoffs this past season. Reports circulated last week that Bryant allegedly said to Lakers fans who asked him to stay in Los Angeles to “Get a (Chicago) Bulls uniform fellas.”
