Is the Staple Center basketball court not big enough to contain both Kobe Bryant and?Kevin Garnett?? Or will KG be the running mate that Bryant has missed on the floor ever since Shaquille O’Neal headed south to Miami? ?According to reports published on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers have had talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves about trying to acquire the?power forward who’s name has surfaced in trade rumors ever since the NBA?Finals ended. The Lakers of course been facing their own soap opera this summer as a disconsolate Kobe Bryant says he wants out of L.A. The?reports say that Los Angeles has talked about a package including Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and possibly Kwame Brown. Garnett has the option of opting out of his contract after the upcoming season?but would stand to lose about $10 million if he does so since his current contract was negotiated before the new NBAPA came into effect.
