And every fan feels he or she is a better talent evaluator, than Jerry West, Jerry Krause, or Red Auerbach. Every fan wants to get rid of their garbage for the other team’s elite players, and of course rumors are rampant through out the league, and over the Internet. The big rumor earlier this week?was that Minnesota Timberwolves forward?Kevin Garnett was headed to the Boston Celtics?. Garnett’s agent? Andy Miller said in an interview with the Boston Globe on Thursday, that the first player to come straight out of high school into the Pro’s since Darrell Dawkins, has no desire to play for the Celtics. The Celtics?in the proposed deal were basically gutting their team in order to?acquire the T-Wolves big man, offering among other things Al Jefferson, and the number five pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

The Milwaukee Bucks picked up the option years Thursday on contracts for center Andrew Bogut, and forward Charlie Villanueva. Both players were drafted in the first round?in the 2005 NBA Draft. Bogut was the number one pick in the draft chosen by Milwaukee. Villanueva was?drafted by the Toronto Raptors?with the seventh pick. Villanueva came to the Bucks in a trade for point guard T.J. Ford?Both players are locked up through the 2008-2009 season. The Bucks announced on Thursday that they had made qualifying offers to restricted free agents guard Charlie Bell and forward Ersan Ilyasova. This now gives Milwaukee the right to match any offer by any other franchise. ?

Golden State Warriors controversial?guard Stephen Jackson pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of criminal recklessness stemming from his shooting of a gun outside of an Indiana strip club back in October. Jackson, avoided jail time by copping the guilty plea, he was given one year probation fined $5000, and must perform 100 hours of community service.?Jackson, who was playing for the Indiana Pacers at the time of the incident was relieved that the case was resolved. He said it was position he put himself in but was thankful it was over with. Jackson has put himself in controversial positions throughout his NBA career, chief among them charging into the stands during the infamous brawl between the Pacers and the Pistons.

The Sacramento Kings will name former NBA player and New Mexico State coach Reggie Theus as their new bench boss on Wednesday. The team will hold a press conference to introduce Theus to the media and the fans from Sacramento. Theus will replace former coach Eric Mussleman who was fired immediately after the NBA regular season ended, as the team had a disappointing campaign and failed to make the playoffs. Theus who played for 13 years in the league took the Aggies to the NCAA tournament in only his second season. Theus has never coached in the NBA described himself as speechless after being offered the position.

In a story written by HoopsWorld.com reporter Eric Pincus, Los Angeles Lakers disgruntled superstar Kobe Bryant is seen on an amateur video ripping his club. According to Pincus who says he has seen the entire video, plus a seperate audio conversation, Bryant in between expletives criticizes the team for not making moves. Bryant mentions a deal that would have sent Andrew Bynum to New Jersey in exchange for Jason Kidd, but says Los Angeles refused to complete the trade. In?a seperate audio conversation, Bryant is reported to have said in?response to Lakers fans asking him to stay with the team? to ?”Get a (Chicago) Bulls uniform fellas.”

Pincus who says he has covered the Lakers for years is convinced both the audio, and the video tapes are legitamately Kobe. The tapes are owned by a group who call themselves the “Kobe Video Guys”, and are reportedly trying to sell the interviews to the highest bidder. The Lakers have not commeneted on these reports. This just the latest episodes in what is truly turning into a melodrama: Kobe and the Lakers; Disintegration of a relationship.

The city of San Antonio and opera tenor Placido Domingo held the mother of all celebrations for the Spurs on Sunday, to thank them for winning their fourth NBA title last week. Despite oppressive heat the city turned out in droves, lining the city’s River Walk and dressed in Spurs colors of silver and black. Domingo sang a mariachi version of the Spurs theme song, which delighted the multitudes. NBA Finals MVP Tony Parker told the fans that he had slept, with his trophy ever since he got it on Thursday night. He said that he had relegated his fiancee Eva Longoria to sleeping on the couch. Not too many in attendance seemed to believe that. This was the fourth time the Spurs have become NBA Champs, the first time being in 1999.

Los Angeles Lakers disgruntled superstar guard?Kobe Bryant released a statement on Sunday saying that he and the team “Have two different visions.” Bryant released the statement on his website, saying this is the reason he wants to be traded to another team. The news first surfaced last month, when Bryant spoke to ESPN Radio saying that he wanted out of Los?Angeles, and that the differences he had with the club were insurmountable. The Lakers guard seemed to do a 180 a couple of hours later when he went on a?L.A. radio station, and said he had talked things over with coach Phil Jackson, and that he?now believed things could be worked out.?

Bryant who has been vacationing in Spain during the last couple of weeks, met Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss in Spain late last week. In that meeting according to published reports, he told Buss in no uncertain terms that he wanted out of L.A.. Bryant said that the Lakers are looking to rebuild and Bryant is looking to win right now. The Lakers have had no comment other than to confirm that the meeting between Dr. Buss, and Bryant did take place.
