Reports Say Carter And Nets Close To Deal

According to reports that were published on Sunday, Vince Carter and the New Jersey Nets are very close to making a deal that would keep the All-Star in a Nets uniform. The Associated Press is reporting that a source close to the team is saying that a four year deal estimated to be worth $60 million. Carter had opted out of the final year of his old contract on Saturday. No team can officially announce a deal until July 11.
