The Seattle SuperSonics celebrated for two different reasons on Wednesday July 4. Of course like all USA citizens, they celebrated the Nation’s 231st birthday, but their other reason to party was their signing of both their first round picks from last Thursday’s NBA Draft. Seattle announced on Wednesday, that they had come to terms with both the number two pick Kevin Durant from Texas, but with the number five pick Georgetown’s Jeff Green as well. The Sonics acquired Green from the Boston?Celtics in a?draft night trade, sending?veteran shooting guard Ray?Allen and the rights to LSU big man Glen “Big Baby”Davis in exchange for Green, point guard Delonte West and shooting guard Wally Szczerbiak?.
