Grant Hill

The seven years in Orlando didn’t turn out like he planned. Grant Hill the man who was once touted as the “Next Michael Jordan” only to see injuries wreak havoc with his NBA career will be signing a deal with the Phoenix Suns on July 11, according to his agent. Thursday’s edition of the Arizona?Republic quotes Hill’s agent Lon Babby as saying Hill notified the Sun’s of his intention to sign with the team next Wednesday. July 11, is the first day that NBA team’s can sign free agents. Hill signed as a free agent with the Magic back in the summer of 2000, leaving the Detroit Pistons, and the Magic tried to build a team around him. They soon brought in another big name free agent in Toronto’s Tracy McGrady, and Orlando thought that they would soon be among the league’s?elite. But ankle injuries, sidelined Hill leading to five operations. Hill did have an impressive comeback year in 2005, as he made the All-Star team. And this past season was one of the healthiest in his career, leading him to believe that he can be that missing link to take the Suns to a championship.
