Oden To Have Tonsils Out Will Miss Rest Of Summer League

The Portland Trail Blazers issued a statement on Tuesday, that their number one draft pick in last month’s NBA Draft will miss the rest of the Summer League which is currently being held in Las Vegas, to undergo a tonsillectomy. Oden is expected to miss the next two to three weeks due to the procedure. He wiill have it done on Saturday, after taping an appearance in Los Angeles for the ESPY Awards. The procedure will be performed at a hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Oden will also have to miss the U.S. Senior National Team Camp, also to take place in Las Vegas between the 20-22 of July because of the procedure. The Trail Blazers and Oden believe this is the right move at this time for the long term health benefits of the seven foot center who played last year for Ohio State. Well Greg, enjoy the ice cream!!
