Reports published on Friday say that the New Orleans Hornets have reached an agreement with unrestricted free agent Morris Peterson. The reports quoting our old friend “An anonymous league source with knowledge of the deal” say that Peterson and the team have agreed to a four year pact financial terms were not announced The man nicknamed “Mo Pete” won the 2000 NCAA Championship with Michigan State and then was drafted by the Toronto Raptors with the number 21 pick in the first round of the NBA Draft. After having one of his best offensive seasons in 2005-2006, averaging a career high 16.8 points per game, his numbers and playing time dropped drastically last season. Still Toronto did make a bid to keep him. The reports say the deal will be signed when Peterson finishes his vacation.
