Bulls To Sign Free Agent Joe Smith

Reports out of Chicago say that the Bulls have come to terms with free agent forward Joe Smith and a deal could be finalized pending his passing of a physical on Tuesday. Smith played last year for Philadelphia, and could probably have gotten more money if he had stayed with the 76er’s.? However Smith?believes that with the talent that Chicago has,?he could help them get deep into the playoffs. The reports are that it would be a two year pact probably for about the mid-level salary cap exception which is $5.36 million. Smith was the number one pick?in the 1995 NBA Draft selected by Golden State but he has never really had the numbers to justify being picked that high. He has basically had a journeyman career, Chicago will be the sixth team he has played for.?
