Francis Heads Back To Houston

Veteran NBA guard Steve Francis is heading back to the Houston Rockets the player’s agent revealed on Thursday. Jeff Fried who represents Francis says his client has reached a deal with the team with which he played for his first five years in the NBA. Terms of the deal were not reported. Francis was traded to the Orlando Magic for Tracy McGrady, the Magic ended up trading him to the New York Knicks during the 2005-2006 campaign. Francis was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in a deal that sent Zach Randolph to New York on the night of the NBA Draft. Last week the Trail Blazers bought out the remainder of Francis’ contract making him an unrestricted free agent. Although quite a few teams were interested In Francis, Fried said the guard signed with Houston due to the comfort factor.
