The Milwaukee Bucks announced on Monday they have brought back? veteran free agent forward Desmond Mason signing him to a two year deal. Mason played for the Bucks from 2002 through 2004 before being traded to the New Orleans Hornets before the 2005 campaign. Milwaukee General Manager Larry Harris said that Mason was brought back for his veteran leadership skills, and his defense. Harris was also asked about number six draft pick Yi Jianlian by reporters, after conflicting reports came out of China last week on whether Yi would sign with Milwaukee, or the team would be forced to trade him to get any value from the pick. Harris said that he expected Yi would soon be in a Milwaukee uniform.
