Riley Will Remain Heat Coach Through 2010

Miami Heat coach Pat Riley announced on Monday that he will remain at the helm of his team through the 2010 season. There was some conjecture as to whether Riley would be back as bench boss following the end of last season.?Veteran center Alonzo Mourning before res-signing?with Miami earlier this?Summer said that one of the factors of his continuing his NBA career was Riley’s status. Riley who retired as coach but remained with Miami in 2003 returned to the bench and won the League Championship with the Heat in 2006. Riley said there is?no connection with 2010 being the year that Shaquille O’Neal’s contract is up, and guard Dwayne Wade can opt out of his contract with his naming that as the end of his commitment at this time.
