Warriors Bid Farewell To Foyle
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Golden State Warriors have announced that they have reached a buyout agreement with center Adonal Foyle and have granted the ten year veteran his unconditional release. Foyle was drafted with the eighth pick in the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft. The 32 year old 6′10″ veteran has spent his entire career with the Warriors and signed a six year deal with the team believed to be worth close to $42 million dollars. No word on the terms of the settlement agreement were released. Foyle got very little playing time last year in Golden State coach Don Nelson’s game strategy, a game plan that took the team to the post season for the first time since 1994. The Warriors shocked observers of the NBA with a first round upset of Dallas before losing to Utah in the second round.
