Clippers Sign Guard Diaz

The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Thursday that they have signed their 2006 NBA Draft second round pick guard Guillermo Diaz to a contract. Diaz played last year for Czech Republic and for a Greek team last year. He played for CEZ Basketball Nymburk in the Czech Republic where he averaged over 20 points, 3 assists, and 3 boards per game. He also played five games in the Greek League where he averaged 13 points per game. Diaz had a nice showing for the Clippers in the Las Vegas Summer League averaging 10.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
