Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Mark “Mad Dog” Madsen had surgery on his right shoulder Friday to repair damage he suffered riding a personal watercraft on Monday. The surgery was performed by team orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Fischer and Dr. Brad Nelson. Madsen was riding the vehicle on Monday when he had to bail and messed up his shoulder. The recovery period is expected to be about three months, and the team believes he can be ready to play in November. The T-Wolves were counting more on Madsen this season after going into the rebuilding process after trading Kevin Garnett to Boston.
