Damon Says He Wants Out Of Memphis
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Portland Oregonian reported on Monday that Memphis Grizzlies point guard Damon Stoudamire would like to be traded. Stoudamire who played for the Portland Trail Blazers from 1997-2004 reportedly told the paper that he will not cause any friction, for the Grizzlies, but is tired of being in a rebuilding situation. Stoudamire who is 33, is finally healthy again after battling injuries the last few seasons, and could be the answer in Boston or Cleveland with both organizations looking for a legitimate starting point guard. Until injuries derailed Stoudamire, he was one of the better point guards in the league first playing for the Toronto Raptors, then onto Portland and currently residing on the Memphis roster. Although he averaged only 7.5 points per game last season, Stoudamire has averaged double figures in points for most of his NBA career.
