Hawks Exercise Options on Marvin and Shelden Williams

The Atlanta Hawks announced Tuesday that they are exercising the contract options on Shelden and Marvin Williams for the 2008-2009 NBA season. Shelden a center out of Duke will be playing in his second season in the NBA after averaging 5.5 points and 5.4 rebounds last season and was the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for April. Marvin a forward from the University of North Carolina is going into his third season playing for the Hawks, averaging 13.1 points and 5.3 boards per game last season.
