Joni Mitchell once sang “Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got ’till its gone.” Remember a few years ago when Americans used to complain that the “Dream Teams” should not be allowed to compete in  the Olympics, because our NBA players were just too good? A third place finish in the 2006 Olympics quickly ended that talk, and pretty soon the complaint became how can the USA regain it’s dominance in the game invented in this Country? Well it looks like Team USA has that formula figured out as they defeated the Brazilian National Team Sunday 113-76. LeBron James had his first dominant performance in these games shooting 8-11 including 4-6 from three point range. Carmelo Anthony also had 21 and 10 boards, while Jason Kidd distributed the ball like a magician. Leandro Barbosa who had 30 points when Brazil played Canada was held to just four points. Team USA has now gone undefeated in the preliminary round. The two top teams in the tournament will receive automatic berths in the 2008 Olympics.
