Team USA had their toughest challenge so far in the FIBA Championship of the Americas Tournament Monday night. Team Mexico proved to be a worthy opponent in the first half trailing Team USA by only 14 points. But Coach K. had the team in overdrive in the second half as they defeated Team Mexico 127-100. The margin of victory was the smallest so far for Team USA, and Carmelo Anthony who paced the team with 28 points said that Team Mexico was the toughest opponent they have had in the tournament. Mexico was also the first team to score 100 points against Team USA in the tournament.  Coach Krzyzewski went with a different starting lineup making two changes from the starters he had out there in previous games. Chauncey Billups was the starting point guard substituting for Jason Kidd, and Amare Stoudamire was at center in place of Dwight Howard. Krzyzewski said he just wanted to go with a different look to start the game.
