Nuggets “Welcome Back Carter”

On Wednesday the Denver Nuggets cut backup guard Anthony Carter. On Friday they signed a backup guard, Anthony Carter. Yes the same Anthony Carter they had cut two days earlier. No explanation from the team as of yet why the situation seemed to sour and then turn around so quickly. The 32 year old 6′2″ guard is expected to be the primary backup for Chucky Atkins. As I wrote on Wednesday with all the NBA teams needing backcourt bench strength, if Carter is healthy he will not be unemployed for long. I just did not expect it to be the same team.
