Two of the NBA’s true superstars as well as quality human beings are planning a charity extravaganza that will benefit Chinese orphans. The Phoenix Suns Steve Nash, and the Houston Rockets Yao Ming have banded together with the agency that represents both players, BDA Sports and will put on a charity game in Beijing on September 14. In addition to Nash, Carmelo Anthony, Lendro Barbosa, Baron Davis, Derek Fisher, Chuck Hayes, Greg Oden, and Bonzi Wells, will take on Yao?and the Chinese National Team.

The plans have been formulating since early March when the Suns met the Rockets, and Nash approached Yao with the idea in order to help out the plight of Chinese orphans. The game will be broadcast nationwide in China, and the game is easily expected to be a sold out affair. Three charities will benefit from the endeavor; The China Youth Development Foundation, The Special Olympics, and an organization called Chi Heng which helps youngsters who are stricken with aids.
