Buss Pleads Guilty To Driving Under The Influence

Los Angeles Lakers Team Owner Jerry Buss pleaded guilty Tuesday to? drunk driving in San Diego Superior Court. Buss was given five years probation and had to pay a $1900 fine. The Judge in the case?Martin Staven has also required that Buss attend a first conviction program as well as a program that is run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.?Buss who is 74 years old was pulled over in May by police in?Carlsbad,?California after the officers saw him driving his gold Mercedes on the wrong side of the road. Buss?blood-alcohol level was?shown to be at?.13 above the state limit of .08. The prosecutor in the case said that Buss received no preferential treatment, that this is the standard punishment for a first offender.?
