NBA Referees Will Get More Use Of Instant Replay This Season

The NBA announced that the use of instant replay during NBA games will significantly increase during the 2007-2008 campaign. The NBA Board of Governors last week approved measures to allow referees to use instant replay in cases of fights, as well as flagrant foul Penalty Two calls. A Penalty Two ruling is deemed the most egregious foul resulting ?in immediate ejection from the game. Previously the only time instant replay was used was to determine if a basket was scored or a foul committed in the waning seconds of a quarter.
