Nets Sign Veteran Malik Allen

The New Jersey Nets announced on Monday that they have signed veteran forward Malik Allen to a deal for the upcoming NBA Season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Allen played last year with the Chicago Bulls and faced New Jersey last season in the NBA Playoffs. Allen who has been in the league six years played his college ball at Villanova, he went undrafted and originally was signed by the Miami Heat. The 6′10″ forward spent three and half seasons with Miami before being traded to Charlotte midway through the 2004-2005 season. He spent the last two seasons playing in Chicago.
