Hedo’s 34 Not Enough Italy Tops Turkey 84-75

Hedo Turkoglu scored a game high 34 points but it still was not enough for the National Team from Turkey as they lost to Italy Monday 84-75 in overtime. Golden State Warriors first round draft pick Marco Belinelli scored 17 points for the Italian National Team all in the second half, and Turkey and Italy were tied at the end of regulation at 70. Turkoglu who is a forward with the Orlando Magic saw his team take the early lead in the overtime period, but Italy went on a 9-2 run to seal the game. Italy will next meet up with Dirk Nowitzki and the National team from Germany in the 2007 FIBA Euro Games.
