Oden To Have Knee Surgery Thursday

Portland Trial Blazers center Greg Oden will have exploratory arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday. The team released the statement Monday about the number one pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Oden has experienced discomfort in his right knee and underwent a MRI last week. The test results showed that there may be some cartilage damage. Oden missed parts of the Las Vegas Summer League games back in July to have his tonsils removed. Team doctors and trainers will determine how long it will take him to return to playing shape after the procedure.
