Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Dirk Nowitzki did not have his best game of the 2007 FIBA Euro-Basket Tournament, but with help from his bench the German National Team defeated Italy Wednesday 67-58. The win which took place in Madrid, Spain advances Germany to the Euro-Basket quarter finals. Nowitzki had a great game by most players standards, with 15 points and 10 rebounds, but it was far below his tournament average of 26 points per game. However the German bench picked up the slack adding 29 points for the win. Germany held the Italians to just 32 % shooting from the field. The German Team’s next opponent will be the host of the Tournament Spain.
