Jasikevicius Misses Second Half But Lithuania Still Beats Slovenia 80-61
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Lithuanian National Team was without their team leader point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius in the second half but were still able to hold off Slovenia Wednesday and win their game 80-61. Lithuania with the victory remains the only unbeaten team in the Euro-Basket Tournament which is being held in Madrid. Jasikevicius, who is a backup point guard with the Golden State Warriors, tweaked his left hamstring in the first half and was unable to take the floor in the second half. Ramunas Siskauskas picked up the slack for the Lithuanians with 21 points. They will next face Croatia in the Euro-Basket Tournament quarter finals.
