Deke Heading Back To Houston

A Houston, Texas television station is reporting that veteran center Dikembe Mutombo will sign for one more season with the Houston Rockets, and then retire from the NBA at the end of the campaign. Houston station KRIV-TV says that the 41 year old veteran decided to return when Rockets General Manager Daryl Morley traveled to Atlanta to meet with Deke. Mutombo said that showed him how much the club wanted him back. Mutombo who came into the league in 1993, has played with five other teams in the NBA. Originally drafted by Denver he went to Atlanta in 1996, he has also played for Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York.
