Former NBA Player Byron Houston Gets Four Years Behind Bars
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
In the latest chapter of this Summer’s hottest series: USA SPORTS: THE MELTDOWN we have this lovely little story to relay to you. Former NBA player and Oklahoma State University standout Byron Houston was sentenced to four years behind bars in an Oklahoma City Court room for violating his probation on a previous indecent exposure conviction. It seems that Houston was in his car at an intersection in Oklahoma City, when a woman passed by his car and saw the former NBA player pleasuring himself with his pants around his ankles. Houston, besides the previous conviction was already a registered sex offender. His attorneys say their client suffers from bi-polar disorder. District Judge Ray Elliot said that he had been?more than lenient with giving Houston chances to rehabilitate himself, but he felt the time had come that he?must impose stiffer penalties. Houston played in the NBA from 1992-1995 2 seasons with?Golden State, and one each with Seattle and Sacramento.
