Batista Says No To Boston

Thursday’s edition of the Boston Globe is reporting that free agent center and former Atlanta hawks player Esteban Batista has?turned down a contract offer by the Boston Celtics Wednesday night. Batista who?is represented by agent Marc?Cornstein has said that his client has received offers from the Celtics, Charlote, Indiana, and Phoenix. Cornstein did not elaborate on why Batista turned down Boston’s offer. Batista, who mainly rode the pine last season for the Hawks saw his stock increase dramatically as he performed very well in the FIBA Americas Championship held in Las Vegas.
