The Golden State Warriors on Thursday that they have reached a buyout with Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius and is putting the player on waivers. Jasikevicius was acquired by the Warriors last January as part of a 7 player deal with the Indiana Pacers. Jasikevicius had signed with the Pacers, before the 2005-2006 campaign. Reports out of Lithuania?Thursday morning said that he had signed a two year deal with a team in the Greek League for far more money than he was earning in the NBA. Jasikevicius had said earlier this Summer that he would like to stay in the NBA, but not with the Warriors because his paying time would be so sporadic. Sources close to the player say he wanted to go to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who except for an aging Eric Snow have no true point guard.
