The Indianapolis Star is reporting that veteran guard Darrell Armstrong will be on the trading block soon as the team faces an over abundance at the point guard position {Boston and Cleveland wish they had that problem.} Armstrong who is 39 years old and is going into the season with a non-guaranteed contract believes that the team will do it’s best to?trade him, and if not cut him before the regular season starts. Armstrong told the paper he basically saw the hand writing on the wall when the?Indiana Pacers?signed Travis Diener and Andre Owens during the off-season. Armstrong has been in the NBA since 1994 spending the majority of his career with the Orlando Magic. He was with Orlando from the 1994-2003. He then spent the next two seasons with the Hornets and the two following that with Dallas. He was with Indiana only last season playing in 81 games, averaging 5.6 points and 2.4 assists per game. His career averages are 9.6 points and 4.2 assists per game.
