As reported here Tuesday the Minnesota Timberwolves officially signed free agent center John Edwards Friday to a one year deal. Edwards who went school at Kent State was signed by the Indianapolis Pacers as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He then signed before the next season with the Atlanta Hawks, who then  traded him back to the Pacers in the following off-season. Edwards did not play in the NBA last year being waived by Indianapolis at the end of October. Minnesota is in a rebuilding mode after completing their blockbuster trade with Boston that had Kevin Garnett go to the Celtics in return for seven players.
