LBJ Impressed By Celtics Off-Season Moves
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Boston Globe reported Saturday that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, says that he is quite impressed with the reconstruction project that the Boston Celtics did over the Summer. The Celtics traded for guard Ray Allen from Seattle, and had a blockbuster seven for one trade to acquire forward Kevin Garnett from Minnesota. Still as impressed as he is, James is not willing to say that Boston is the odds on favorite in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. James said it will take time for the two superstars and returning Boston star Paul Pierce to become a cohesive unit. He also said that there were a lot of other tough teams in the East. James mentioned Detroit, Chicago, and Miami, but said he believed Cleveland would have to be considered the favorite because they are the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Cleveland defeated Detroit in the Eastern Conference?Finals, but were then swept by the San Antonio Spurs in their first appearance in the NBA Finals.
