It’s nice to know in this cold and callous world which we live in in the year 2007, that some people still have their  priorities  in the correct order. Former NBA player Dell Curry certainly belongs in that group. Curry Tuesday resigned his position as an assistant coach with the Charlotte Bobcats, before he ever got a chance to even sit on the bench. Why you ask? Because Curry has two sons who are playing basketball, and are the center of his universe, as they should be. He was afraid the job he had accepted three months ago when Bobcats incoming head coach Sam Vincent offered it to him would take him away from his family too much. Now, I admit his timing could have been better with NBA Training Camps opening next week, but how refreshing is that? Curry will stay with the team in their Community Relations Department. Vincent is currently interviewing replacement candidates, the rest of the staff is comprised of Phil Ford, Paul Mokeski, Jeff Capel, and Lee Rose. Dell we here at Slam Dunk Central salute you!
