Balkman’s Balky Ankle Will Keep Him On Side Lines

The New York Knicks announced Thursday that second year forward Renaldo Balkman will be sidelined for at least four weeks due to a right ankle injury. MRI results showed cartilage damage and what is being termed a “stress reaction.” Balkman has been fitted with a walking boot and will be re-examined in four weeks. Balkman averaged 4.9 and 4.3 boards in 68 games last season.
