Friday’s Newark Star Ledger reports that New Jersey Nets President Rod Thorn in his state of the team address on Thursday, that his team is better than last season will basically staying pat during the off-season. The reason? A healthy Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic two major pieces that make up a competitive New Jersey Nets team. Krstic, the center out of Serbia tore his ACL last year, and is reportedly back to 90-95% after surgery. Krstic pre-injury had turned into a force in the middle for New Jersey. Jefferson who suffered from ankle problems last season according to Thorn is healthy again, and expected to be a major contributor for the Nets. After dominating the Eastern Division the last few seasons, most NBA observers feel that may end up playing second best to a reconstituted Boston Celtics team.
