The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves completed a trade late Friday night as they swapped two veteran swing men. The Mavericks gave up guard/forward Greg Buckner to the T-Wolves in exchange for veteran guard Trenton Hassell. Hassell who came into the NBA in the 2001-2002 season spent his first two years with the Chicago Bulls, before going to Minnesota where he played the next four seasons. he has career averages of 6.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Buckner made his NBA debut in the 1999-2000 season spending his first three seasons in Dallas. He then played two seasons each with Philadelphia, and Denver before re-signing with Dallas last year. Buckner has averaged 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game during his NBA career.
