Reports out of Indianapolis Monday were that the Indiana Pacers waived veteran guard?Darrell Armstrong as NBA teams across the country gathered together for training camps. Armstrong the 39 year old 13 season veteran did not figure into the team’s plans according to sources close to the situation. Armstrong spent one season with the Pacers playing in 81 games, averaging 5.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest. He came into the NBA with the Orlando Magic in the 1994-1995 season and played for them through the 2002-2003 campaign. Armstrong then spent two years with New Orleans and two years with Dallas before going the Pacers last year.
