Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Tuesday’s edition of the New York Post reports that New York Knicks center Eddy Curry will miss about two weeks after injuring his shoulder in practice. Curry underwent a MRI which showed that he had suffered a torn labrum, but at this time surgery is not expected to be needed. Curry injured his shoulder Friday during Training Camp drills. The team says that they expect their center to be ready in more than enough time for the opening of the NBA season. The Knicks open the camapign November 2, in Cleveland as they face defending Eastern Conference?Champions the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry said that he was relived with the results, and that his rotator cuff was not damaged, which would have necessitated in surgery. The Knicks are holding off on a firm time table for the players return until they?can completely rule out a surgical procedure. That decison should be rectified by mid-week.
