Allen Carries The Day As Celtics Whip Timberwolves 92-81

Boston Celtics new shooting guard superstar Ray Allen shot the lights out as he led Boston to a 92-81 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday in London. The two teams were there as part of the NBA Pre-Season tour designated “NBA Europe Live.” Allen shot 11-14 from 2 point range, and 5-8 3 pointers to pace Boston with 28 points. Kevin Garnett facing his former team for the first time had only 9 points, but he contributed with 6 boards, 3 blocked shots, an assist and a steal. The third member of Boston’s “Elite Three” Paul Pierce had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. And the Celtics point guard Rajon Rando had 6 assists and 4 steals, while the man in the middle Kendrick Perkins had 11 points and 5 boards. The T-Wolves were led by former Boston guard Ricky Davis with 18.
