Yi Scores Only Three But Bucks Beat Bulls 93-88
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Not exactly a stellar debut for Milwaukee Bucks forward?Yi Jianlian?as he got into early foul trouble in the first half?of the Bucks pre-season opener against the Chicago Bulls. However three Bucks players had a good enough night to overcome the rookie’s shortcomings as Milwaukee defeated Chicago 93-88 Tuesday night.?Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut led all scorers with 14 points. Royal Ivey the guard that Milwaukee signed as a free agent had 10 points, and Charlie Bell certainly showed no misgivings about ending up in Milwaukee as he had 13 points, 7 assists, 5 boards, and 2 steals. Bell who had been a restricted free agent signed an offer sheet with the Miami Heat but Milwaukee matched it and retained the guard.
The Bulls had three players with 10 points each, Ben Wallace, Andres Nocioni and?Luol Deng. It was an unusual night for Wallace who actually more than twice the amount of points than rebounds.?Wallace ended the night with only four boards, only one on offense, which was quite uncharacteristic for the big man. Yi played only four minutes in the first half and truly looked lost on the court quickly picking up three fouls, and landing him on the bench.?The first round draft choice scored only 3 points no rebounds or assists but he did have two steals.?Chicago’s rookie Joachim Noah had 6 points, 4 boards, 4 assists, a blocked shot and a steal.
