Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Portland Trail Blazer’s guard/forward Martell Webster coming off the bench became unstoppable in the second half as Portland defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 111-102 Wednesday night. Webster scored 22 of his 28 points in the second half, LaMarcus Aldridge had 21, and former New York Knicks player Channing Frye scored 15 in the win. Sam Cassell the veteran point guard led the Clippers with 21 points. Number one draft pick Portland’s Greg Oden got a nice round of applause from the crowd as he on crutches made his way to the Portland bench. Oden will miss the season due to microfracture surgery in his knee.
