Golden State Warriors guard Kelenna Azubuike, getting the start over veteran Baron Davis who took the night off for rest made his name known throughout the league Thursday night in the Warriors 119-106 victory over the L.A. Lakers. Azubuike showed?that he certainly deserves more playing time as he scored 22 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished off 4 assists, had 2 steals and a blocked shot in 36 minutes. He went 7-14 from the field, 3-4?from 3 point range and went 5-6 at the charity stripe. Oh and he also helped clean up the Hawaii facility that the game was held in after the contest(only kidding but with all the other things he did it would not surprise me?if I found that out to be fact!) Azubuike who only played 41 games as a rookie last season led six Golden State players in double figures. Derek Fisher, and Vladimir Radmanovic each had 12 points for the?Lakers while Kobe Bryant had 11. Golden State is now 2-0 in the pre-season, Los Angeles is 0-2.
