He’s 36 years old, has not played in the NBA for two seasons, and his coach is his former teammate. Still veteran NBA guard Allan Houston feels he has some more basketball in him and is attempting a comeback in training camp with his former team the New York Knicks. Houston who played nine seasons in New York, left the game after the 2004-2005 season due to chronic knee pain. But Houston says he is now pain free, which he attributes to a combination of rest and prayer and thinks he can be a contributor to the Knicks. Houston played 12 seasons in the NBA averaging 17.3 points, 2.9 rebounds per game, and 2.4 assists. Houston was drafted by the Detroit Pistons, and played with New York coach Isiah Thomas in the 1993-1994 season.
