Wallace Scores 20 As Bobcats Snag Nets 96-86
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace did not have a great night from the field shooting only 4-10. He was however a lot more successful at the charity stripe where he shot 12-16 leading to a game high 20 points, and leading Charlotte to a 96-86 win over the New Jersey Nets?Monday night. Wallace was one of three Charlotte starters and five?Bobcats’ players over all in double figures. New Jersey was without point guard Jason Kidd who was out?of the game after injuring his back Sunday during practice. Veteran guard Darrell Armstrong?was also out of action after hurting his left foot during the morning shoot around. New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank said that Kidd would probably be out a few days, while no timetable for Armstrong’s return has been determined. X-Rays taken of Armstrong’s foot showed no break or damage.?The Nets were?also without center Nenad Krstic and Antoine Wright while Charlotte was without Jason Richardson?who was with his fiancee who just gave birth to their son.?New Jersey for the second game in a row was led by Serbian forward Bostjan Nachbar who had a team high 19 points. Nachbar will be a free agent at the end of the season and has certainly opened some eyes around the league this pre-season especially after scoring 35 points in an overtime win against Philadelphia Friday night.
